PHELPS, Delphia "Del" (nee Davidson), beloved wife for 40yrs of William R. Phelps (Bill). Loving mother of Roy (Karen) Cox, Catherine Black, Robin Cox, Amy (James) Childress, Lisa (Darwin) Ridener, William (Valerie) Phelps, Jr and the late Gary Cox. Also survived by 27 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Roy (Sylvia) Davidson. Passed away suddenly, Saturday July 24, 2010 Age 78yrs. Visitation Friday from 11am until time of funeral services at 1pm at the Minges Funeral Home 10385 New Haven Rd. (Harrison). Del was a wonderful inspiration and role model to her children and grandchildren. She was but a phone call, a visit or a smile away to help them with anything they needed to help find their way through life's trials and tribulations. Her kindness and unconditional love will be stamped in all that knew her. Her wisdom will be missed but will live on through the inspiration and love that she shared so generously with all. Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
